I grew up in Mansfield, Ohio and, until moving here to Georgia, have spent my life within that 100- mile radius.

At the age of 16 I had turned my back on God and what little knowledge or relationship I had with Jesus. At the age of 24 I found myself in a twelve-step program. I began living by what I believe now are divinely inspired spiritual principles. At the time however I had no desire to have anything to do with “God” and especially I didn’t’ like to hear people talk about Jesus. My life was 100% better, yet I had this indescribable emptiness inside that never seemed to go away. After 8 years in recovery, and searching for a deeper spiritual meaning to my life I was finally ready to hear what some of my friends were trying to tell me about Jesus and I began reading the Bible. With a clear understanding and acceptance of the truth I gave my heart and my life to Jesus in the early spring of 2001. Within 6 months everything in my life changed. I fall in amazement at what has taken place since. It is far beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of or imagined. I have personally experienced emotional, spiritual and physical healings through the power of the Holy Spirit. I no longer walk around with that daunting emptiness inside, but rather the vacuum that once existed has become an overflowing horn of plenty that I want to share with all who will receive of the fruits I have received through God’s grace.

I began feeling God calling me into ministry work during the spring of 2002. During a time when I was “surfing the web” looking for a job, I came across Adventures In Missions. I was immediately drawn to their purpose and the people. Over the next month God made it clear this is where He wanted me. He took care of the details and I joined the staff in November of 2003.

Although not your typical missionary that first comes to mind, I have found that everything I do at AIM is missionary work. Over the 18 months that I have been here I have experienced lives changed as a result of being on a short-term mission trip and daily I have the privilege of seeing lives around the world changed as a result of both our short term mission trips and our extended missionary programs. I am blessed to be in a position that allows me to have a part in each ministry of our missionaries on the field.
