Though she walked through the valley of the shadow of death for months, she showed no fear. She was a fighter and she knew Jesus was with her. I know she was in physical pain and discomfort, but I never heard her complain, she found her comfort in Him. She knew she would be leaving us, so she prepared the way for us to share our final respects. The table Jesus has prepared for her was ready last night, and he called her home. Link to Memorial
I had hoped to see her one more time during my visit for Christmas. I will be forever grateful that I was afforded time with her back in October. I will always remember our visit and I’ll never forget the hug before I left, the love will always remain. I am also grateful for the many conversations we had. We often talked about Jesus. It was and is a comfort to know her trust and faith was in Him. In a way that only she could be, she was an inspiration to me.
I will miss her very much. I have peace and comfort knowing she is no longer struggling to breath or talk and that she is no longer in pain. She will be celebrating Christmas with Jesus this year. May the peace and love of Christ embrace our family through this time.
